Larry Zaidlin Productions was formed in 1986, by Larry Zaidlin as an "improvisational and interactive" entertainment group specializing in Murder Mysteries, and covering all aspects of event planning from concept to completion. In 1988 Zaidlin's
Dinner Theatre was formed as home base in Toronto. On staff as creative
director was Suzzane Brook of The Brook Studio, an improvisational acting
school which began in the early 1980's. The touring company, headed by
Timm Zemanek, continued after Home Base for the troupe, "Zaidlins", closed
it's doors in late 1989. Due to the cast's experience in dealing with on the spot changes, difficult venues and the "interactive", high quality humour and custom written scripting, Zaidlin's Touring Company has gained an international reputation. Zaidlins shows are written, directed, produced and rehearsed in Canada, but "have show will travel" is our motto. In our fifteen years in business, we have rarely approached companies; rather, our business has been largely referral based, with some new business churned through various unsolicited press coverage both in Canada and the U.S.A. We have garnered some 100 letters of reference, again unsolicited, on our Murder Mysteries, Game shows, Talk Shows, and Team Building Programs. We take pride in the enthusiasm of our audiences and word of mouth has served us very well. During the recession of the '90's, our survival was primarily due to the opportunity to enter the U.S. marketplace and we presently hold U.S. Immigration permits for a number of our entertainers and facilitators. As the new millennium approached we launched our WEB site www.zaidlin.com, which has expanded our reach, and we have been hired for our programs throughout the Caribbean In April, 2000, we began as Associate Producer for the Canadian Comedy Awards. But perhaps the most significant direction change for us was as a result of an enRoute Article in May of 1993 in which we were the lead story on corporate communications highlighting the "Bill Donahue Show" for Myles Pharmaceutical. That article launched corporate interest in our ability to develop and customize programs and events. Since then, we have moved from exclusively "entertainment" to a company, which prides itself on "Entertainment With Purpose". Our clients also have been instrumental in creating objectives and ideas, which we have then packaged for their events. Often our "off the shelf" programs have initially been designed for a client and within a specific budget. We have always prided ourselves in that we can design and implement programs virtually within any budget and any size group. Our Team Building programs have been implemented for groups for as few as four persons (it's a myth that team building requires competitive action ) to audiences of 4000 persons. We love our job and rise to the challenge to create something absolutely new. We would like the opportunity to do business and would look forward to hearing from you for your next corporate event. |
